Winners of Charter Prize 2016 were announced at the annual meeting of the Charter's member

• Best article- Tamuna Uchidze- Disputed Burial Ground (Southern Gate)
• Best multimedia project- Netgazeti, project "Invisibles"
• Best journalistic investigation- Nino Ramishili, Giorgi Mgeladze – Agent Provocateur at the Service of Government 2 (Studio Monitor)
• Comprehensive coverage of children’s issues- School Education in "Real Space" (GPB)

It’s important to note that this year UN Women has for the first time expressed its willingness to cooperate with the Charter and promote women-related articles. For highlighting important women’s rights issues the jury decided to award the Charter’s and UN Women special prize to Aida Mirmaksumova for the article "FGM Uncovered in Georgia (Institute for War and Peace Reporting). The jury decided not to award the prize for this year’s "best video report" nomination. A total of 65 materials has been received, exceeding the previous year by 11.
