According to the material, in the Congress Palace, while the United
Nationalist Movement (UNM) was meeting with its supporters, LGBT
community were having a party where guests were provided with free
cocktails and free HIV check-up. The Council of the Charter
determined that the journalist tried to discredit the "National
Movement" by associating it with the LGBT community, thus
contributing to the exacerbation and spread of homophobic moods.
Consequently, the journalist violated the Seventh (discrimination)
Principle of the Charter. The Charter Council reviewed the case remotely without summoning the parties.
